About Us

Rintoul Stables & Therapeutic Riding Center is a riding and boarding stable located 20 km north west of Humboldt, Saskatchewan and 100km east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Their facility offers Certified (CTRA) Therapeutic Riding, western riding lessons, summer horsemanship camps, equine assisted learning, trail rides, horse boarding, haul ins and arena rentals.

Heather Rintoul has ridden and owned horses for over 20 years. She grew up riding horses, chasing calves at a few rodeos, announcing and timing at team roping/barrel jackpots at the local PFRA pasture and taking every opportunity to learn about horses.

Later, she co-managed and worked on an Alberta owned cattle ranch and a few years later moved to a PFRA pasture. Since moving to the Humboldt area she has enjoyed riding with the drill team, attending various clinics and training and of course the beginning of Rintoul Stables & Therapeutic Riding Center! In 2013 she tested and achieved her certification as an Intermediate Therapeutic Riding Instructor through the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association!

Heather is a Certified Therapeutic Riding Intermediate Instructor (CTRAII), Certified Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator (EAL), has her National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) certificate, 1st Aid and CPR and is currently working towards her Equine Canada Instructor.

She is a member of Equine Canada (EQ), the Saskatchewan Horse Federation (SHF), Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CTRA), Prairie Mentoring Center for Therapeutic Riding (PMC) and Dixon Hills Riding Club - Event Co-ordinator.

All of these experiences allowed her pursue her love of horses and gain further knowledge to share. The learning process will NEVER end!

The rest of the family is very much involved from stable maintenance and schooling horses to assisting with summer camps and therapeutic riding. Brooke is currently completing her Equine Science - Western Horsemanship Diploma at Olds College and Jayda & Kale riding in the local riding club.

Rintoul Stables & Therapeutic Riding Center wants to give everyone an opportunity to experience and learn from these amazing animals!
